SgSTT Holds Successful 2025 AGM and Presents Awards for Outstanding Service

The Singapore Society for Trenchless Technology (SgSTT) held its Annual General Meeting on 29 May 2025, with members and senior PUB representatives in attendance.

The meeting concluded with a buffet and networking session, providing a relaxed atmosphere for professional exchange and reflection.

A key highlight of the evening was the presentation of the SgSTT Awards for Outstanding Service, introduced by Chairman Mark Pearson. These awards recognise individuals who have significantly contributed to the Society’s development through voluntary service, technical leadership, and industry advocacy.

Award Recipients:

Dennis Kong – Founding committee member and Chairman (2010–2013, 2015–2020), whose leadership helped establish training programmes that have reached hundreds.
Mr. CY Ho – Chairman (2013–2015) and long-time supporter, continuing to manage accounts and support training after retirement.
Mr. Lau – Key figure in developing SgSTT’s training portfolio; Vice Chairman and long-standing contributor.
Ms. Cheng – First female Board member, known for her collaborative approach and continued volunteer efforts post-retirement.
Trisha – Chairman (2020–2023), international ambassador, and the Society’s first representative from the new construction segment. (Note: Trisha was present and received her award in person.)
These awards reflect the dedication and spirit of service that continue to drive SgSTT forward.

We’re excited to announce that **Part 2 of our SgSTT Sewer and Pipeline Inspection & Classification Programme** is now in progress! This advanced module focuses on **Interpreting CCTV Videos & Preparing Assessment Reports**, equipping supervisors, engineers, and owners with the skills to assess pipeline conditions in line with **PUB requirements**.

✔ **For:** Professionals who have completed **Part 1** (CCTV Inspection of Sewers)
✔ **Who Should Attend:** Supervisors, Engineers (Contractors/Consultants/Owners) in sewer pipeline inspection
✔ **Duration:** 2 Full Days
✔ **Certification:** Participants who pass the assessment will receive a **Certificate of Competency**
