SgSTT Holds 17th Annual General Meeting and Elects New Board for 2026–2029
The Singapore Society for Trenchless Technology (SgSTT) successfully held its 17th Annual General Meeting on Friday, 29 May 2026, bringing together members, industry partners and stakeholders to review the Society’s activities, financial performance and strategic direction.
The meeting reviewed the Society’s achievements over the past year, including continued progress in strengthening training capabilities, supporting industry engagement and expanding SgSTT’s digital reach. The Society reaffirmed its commitment to promoting trenchless technology and providing a platform for interaction and knowledge exchange between members, partners and asset owners.
Members approved the FY2025/26 Accounts and received an update on the Society’s training activities and future plans. A revised training course fee structure was also presented and endorsed to support the sustainable delivery and continued development of SgSTT’s training programmes.
Proposed amendments to the SgSTT Constitution were presented to the membership and subsequently approved. The amendments modernise several administrative provisions, including the use of electronic communications and updated governance terminology, while maintaining the Society’s existing governance framework and objectives.
During his final address as Chairman, Mark Pearson reflected on the progress achieved during the 2023–2026 term and thanked the Board of Directors for their dedication and voluntary service. He noted that the Society was being handed over “in a better place than where we found it.”
Special appreciation was extended to outgoing Immediate Past Chairman Trisha Sun for her guidance and support, as well as to Ho Chee Yon and SgSTT Administrator Qiao Fei for their tireless contributions to the Society.
Following the election process, the Board of Directors for the 2026–2029 term was confirmed as follows:

Treasurer – Yvonne Lim
Immediate Past Chairman – Mark Pearson

The Society also acknowledged the continued support and participation of PUB through its permanent Board representation.
In his acceptance remarks, incoming Chairman Tang Chua Boon thanked Mark Pearson and the outgoing Board for their commitment, leadership and achievements over the past three years. He recognised the significant progress made by the Society and expressed his intention to continue building upon these achievements by strengthening industry collaboration, supporting professional development, embracing innovation and further promoting the benefits of trenchless technology throughout the sector.
The AGM concluded with a networking session, providing members and guests with an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas and discuss future developments within the trenchless technology industry.
SgSTT would like to thank all members, partners and stakeholders for their continued support and looks forward to another productive and successful three-year term.

Training Update
Day 1 of the SgSTT Sewer & Pipeline Inspection & Classification Programme (CCTV Part 1) – Completed!
On Day 1, we welcomed participants from member organisations to our CCTV Part 1 training. The session focused on techniques and standards for sewer and pipeline inspection and classification, with an emphasis on safety, defect categorisation and quality reporting.
This programme is part of SgSTT’s ongoing commitment to raising industry standards and professional capability within Singapore’s trenchless sector. Training continues tomorrow with Day 2.

SgSTT Conducts Sewer and Pipeline Inspection & Classification Training (Part 1)
The Singapore Society for Trenchless Technology (SgSTT) successfully conducted the SgSTT Sewer and Pipeline Inspection and Classification Programme – Part 1 over the past two days.
The course brought together participants from across the industry, covering the fundamentals of CCTV inspection of sewers, including practical techniques, defect identification, and classification in line with industry standards.
This programme continues to play an important role in supporting the development of competency and consistency in pipeline inspection practices within Singapore.
SgSTT would like to thank all participants for their engagement and contribution, as well as our trainers and partners for their continued support.
We look forward to the next session as we continue to strengthen capability across the industry.
